Syi’ah dan Tafsir al-Mīzān fī Tafsīr al-Qur’ān karya Muḥammad Ḥusein al-Ṭabātabā’ī

This paper examines the interpretation of Muhammad Husein al-Tabataba’i on QS. al-Zumar (39): 65 and al-Baqarah (2): 136 in his commentary, al-Mizan fi Tafsir al-Qur’an. study aims to show that there is a side moderation al-Ṭabataba'i which leads Sunni meaning, this case, monotheism. The research method used descriptive analysis, collect related data then analyze it. analysis refers what offered by Huberman & Miles, namely, reduction, presentation, conclusions or verification. results indicate different from Shiites, al-Kulaini. Al-Ṭabataba'i interprets word shirk associating partners with Allah as case Sunnis, not Imams, interpreted Then also interpret God "qulu amanna billah ..." (2) witnessing faith Prophets, differs al-Kulaini explains meant "believing has sent down" believing Ali, Fatima, Hasan, Husein, Imams after them.
